People without seedboxes that still require some sort of help seeding can have a look.
Its been tried on SCC and max upload speed was 30kb/s.
I have not tried it on any other tracker.
Please note that this will not work on Waffles.
Can only seed to a 1:1 ratio.

However, currently you can only get 1Gb of free traffic.
I would say its superior to the imageshack seedbox if bandwidth wasn't so limited.

If used wrong, could kill your ratio and earn you a hit and run.

So its rumored to be a free seedbox. But what is it really?
Its more of a download box that allows you to download torrents from torrent trackers and then via http, download them to your computer. It doesn't allow you to seed and speed is capped at 500kb/s.

Private trackers have stated that they will ban you for using this.

It is free, but goes against the point of a seedbox.
It utilizes one of the functions of a seedbox, downloading files and then downloading them to your computer, but is only good for public trackers and even then I think you would get better speeds just downloading the torrent on your home connection.

EDIT: I have been told that you can seed your torrents but only to a 1:1 ratio. Someone reported speeds on 30kb/s on SCC. Still not highly reccommended.

Have heard mostly negative things about Santrex so far, many complaints about poor speeds. You have to give them the benefit of the doubt and do a review though.

We do not give test accounts due to obvious reasons.. (you can buffer your account quite high during the test period, people use it for a free service, basically.)

uTorrent Webui vs. TorrentFlux

uTorrent Webui

Benefits:
Nice easy to use interface.
Has a context menu on right click.
Gets faster speeds that torrentflux.
Doesn't use as much RAM.
Doesn't make it immediately obvious that your running a seedbox.
More user friendly as utorrent is also run under windows.

Disadvantages:
Can have problems loading it you use the wrong combination of utorrent and utorrent webui.
Some browsers have problems with the context menu.
Cannot create your own torrents.
Doesn't show drive space.

Known Issues

Opera might display the tables (torrents and files) incorrectly.
Trackers cannot be changed at the present time.
Not all information is known in the general tab yet.
Choosing save location for torrents is currently not possible.

Torrentflux

Benefits:
Can setup RSS feeds.
Can have multiple users login to the same instance of utorrent with separate login information.
Interface is simple.
Shows drive space.

Disadvantages:
Not as user friendly.
Uses more RAM.
Gets slower speeds.
Has problems downloading from some private trackers.

Runs Torrentflux.
Took about a week to setup.
I sent emails asking how long it would take and the admins got pissy with me.

Speeds were equal to cheaper plans I had bought.
You have to pay for individual torrents running as well as extra bandwidth. The fact that almost all other deals for the same price are unlimited for a month makes this a more expensive site. Technical support was crap.

Max download 2mb/s

Prices:

They dont allow you to seed to more than a 1:1 ratio unless you purchase additional bandwidth.

Wouldnt recommend them.

Woldo Host and Biohost

Biohost

Was setup in about 2 days.
Runs torrentflux.
Has been down for the past week and a half.

Max speed I had was 1mb/s down 400kb/s up.
Torrents stop on their own.
Site just came back online after about a week of downtime.
Cost 7$

Woldo Host

Setup in about a day.
Runs torrentflux.
Has been down because they were switching servers. I was not given notice that they were going to be switching servers, giving me hit and runs everywhere.

Max Download speed: 2mb/s
Max Upload speed 900 kb/s

My rating 2/10

Both are very cheap, but not worth it in my opinion.

OVH. What is it? And Why Am I Hearing So Much About It?

What is it?

OVH is a server and webhosting provider that has really low prices, great connection speeds and is hosted offshore (not in countries that will shut it down).

Why is it so popular?
The majority of seedboxes are hosted on OVH's servers, no other company really matches them for price and connection speed.

So why cant you or I purchase OVH?

Because we don't live in the UK, France, Netherlands, Italy and a number of other countries.

How can I get OVH?

Buy a seedbox from a reseller.

A reseller is someone who is able to purchase a seedbox (lives in UK, France or Netherlands). Typically a reseller will do the extra work of setting the seedbox up for you with an Operating system and torrentclient so its ready to go when you get it.

OVH is currently cracking down on resellers/people buying servers and running torrent clients on them. Its no longer allowed unless you have your own dedicated bandwidth. There are resellers that supply this.

This site will be looking at seedboxes from resellers as the majority of seedbox hosts are resellers of OVH.

OVH is associated with a number of websites. Most commonly ovh.co.uk and kimisufi.com

Seedboxes will be tested on a number of torrent sites and will all be on 100mbit connections. Torrents will have no less than 3 seeders and 3 leechers.
