Instant Torrents

Here is another free seedbox alternative.

People without seedboxes that still require some sort of help seeding can have a look.
Its been tried on SCC and max upload speed was 30kb/s.
I have not tried it on any other tracker.
Please note that this will not work on Waffles.
Can only seed to a 1:1 ratio.

However, currently you can only get 1Gb of free traffic.
I would say its superior to the imageshack seedbox if bandwidth wasn't so limited.

If used wrong, could kill your ratio and earn you a hit and run.

Imageshack's Free Torrentdrive

So its rumored to be a free seedbox. But what is it really?
Its more of a download box that allows you to download torrents from torrent trackers and then via http, download them to your computer. It doesn't allow you to seed and speed is capped at 500kb/s.

Private trackers have stated that they will ban you for using this.

It is free, but goes against the point of a seedbox.
It utilizes one of the functions of a seedbox, downloading files and then downloading them to your computer, but is only good for public trackers and even then I think you would get better speeds just downloading the torrent on your home connection.

EDIT: I have been told that you can seed your torrents but only to a 1:1 ratio. Someone reported speeds on 30kb/s on SCC. Still not highly reccommended.

Santrex

Have heard mostly negative things about Santrex so far, many complaints about poor speeds. You have to give them the benefit of the doubt and do a review though.

We do not give test accounts due to obvious reasons.. (you can buffer your account quite high during the test period, people use it for a free service, basically.)

uTorrent Webui vs. TorrentFlux

Benefits:
Nice easy to use interface.
Has a context menu on right click.
Gets faster speeds that torrentflux.
Doesn't use as much RAM.
Doesn't make it immediately obvious that your running a seedbox.
More user friendly as utorrent is also run under windows.

Disadvantages:
Can have problems loading it you use the wrong combination of utorrent and utorrent webui.
Some browsers have problems with the context menu.
Cannot create your own torrents.
Doesn't show drive space.

Known Issues

• Opera might display the tables (torrents and files) incorrectly.
• Trackers cannot be changed at the present time.
• Not all information is known in the general tab yet.
• Choosing save location for torrents is currently not possible.

Benefits:
Can setup RSS feeds.
Can have multiple users login to the same instance of utorrent with separate login information.
Interface is simple.
Shows drive space.

Disadvantages:
Not as user friendly.
Uses more RAM.
Gets slower speeds.
Has problems downloading from some private trackers.
